In November 1999, ActiveUSA.com merged with Racegate.com of La Jolla, Calif. and received a $15.5 million investment from Ticketmaster City Search (NASDAQ: TMCS). The newly merged company changed its name to Active.com and moved its headquarters to La Jolla, California and went public at (NYSE: ACTV) in 2011.
