King Midas' curse would likely work on an elemental level by transforming anything he touches into gold at a molecular level. This would involve altering the atomic structure of the object to turn it into pure gold, which is a process that would involve the manipulation of the object's elemental composition. Essentially, the curse would cause a rapid transmutation of the object's elements into gold upon contact with King Midas, effectively turning everything he touches into the precious metal. **

When Midas comes into contact with nitric acid, a chemical reaction occurs that results in the formation of gold(III) chloride. This reaction causes Midas to turn into a golden statue, as the gold(III) chloride binds to his skin and clothes, effectively turning everything he touches into gold. This transformation is irreversible, and Midas is left as a lifeless statue made of gold. **

The curse of King Midas would work on an elemental level by transforming anything that comes into contact with the affected individual into solid gold. This would include not only objects and living beings, but also the elements themselves. For example, water would turn into solid gold, effectively freezing it in place. The air around the affected individual would also turn into gold, making it difficult for them to breathe. Essentially, the curse would disrupt the natural balance of the elements, turning everything into a static and unchanging state of gold. **
