Birds may not eat suet balls for a few reasons. One reason could be that they are not familiar with this type of food and may be hesitant to try it. Additionally, some birds may prefer other types of food that are more readily available in their environment. It's also possible that the suet balls are not appealing to certain bird species due to their taste or texture. **

Ornamental birds, such as finches and canaries, can eat suet balls in moderation. However, it's important to ensure that the suet balls are free of any additives or preservatives that could be harmful to the birds. Additionally, it's best to offer suet balls as a supplement to their regular diet of seeds, fruits, and vegetables, rather than as their primary source of nutrition. Always monitor the birds' behavior and health when introducing new foods to their diet. **

Suet balls can be left hanging for several days to a week, depending on the weather and bird activity in your area. In colder temperatures, suet balls can last longer without spoiling, while in warmer temperatures they may need to be replaced more frequently. It's important to regularly check the suet balls for signs of spoilage, such as a rancid smell or mold, and replace them as needed to ensure the health and safety of the birds. **

Birds may not be going to the suet balls because they may not be familiar with them or they may prefer other food sources. Additionally, the suet balls may not be easily accessible to the birds or they may be located in an area that is not frequented by birds. It's also possible that the suet balls are not appealing to the specific types of birds in the area. Providing a variety of bird feeders and food options can help attract a wider range of bird species. **

There are several affordable options for publishing a book, including self-publishing platforms like Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing, IngramSpark, and Lulu. These platforms offer a range of services at different price points, allowing authors to choose the level of support they need while keeping costs manageable. Additionally, some traditional publishers, particularly smaller independent presses, may offer more affordable options for authors looking to publish their work. It's important for authors to research and compare the services and costs of different publishers to find the best fit for their budget and publishing goals. **

If your dog has eaten half of a suet ball, it's important to monitor them for any signs of distress or illness. Contact your veterinarian immediately for advice on how to proceed. It's possible that the suet ball could cause digestive issues or an obstruction, so it's important to seek professional guidance. In the meantime, try to keep your dog calm and comfortable, and avoid giving them any food or treats until you have spoken with your vet. **

The animal most likely responsible for the strange disappearance of the suet balls is the squirrel. Squirrels are known for their agility and ability to climb trees and reach bird feeders. They are also attracted to suet because of its high fat content, making it a desirable food source for them. Squirrels are notorious for raiding bird feeders and stealing suet balls, so it is likely that they are the culprits in this case. **

The time it takes for birds to completely eat a suet ball can vary depending on the size of the suet ball, the number of birds feeding on it, and the species of birds present. In general, a suet ball can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Larger suet balls may take longer to be consumed, while smaller ones may be eaten more quickly. Factors such as weather conditions, bird activity levels, and the availability of other food sources can also impact how quickly the suet ball is consumed. **
